Rhea

Rhea – Female in California – Foster needed!!

Cane Corso | Crate Trained | Cat Safe | Dog Safe | Kid Safe 12+

Meet Rhea! This gorgeous girl joined CCR from a northern CA shelter after being surrendered by her previous owner due to having “too many pets”. This young girl (DOB March 4, 2020) was absolutely terrified to be dumped in such a scary place and her kennel notes from the shelter were “full body trembling, frozen in place, drooling, fearful body language”. These poor dogs go through so much trauma when dropped at a shelter and it was clear Rhea needed out ASAP. Thankfully a volunteer was able to get her out of the shelter and is currently keeping her at her vet’s office boarding area. She is doing much much better than she was in the shelter but she still needs a home right away! We are seeking an urgent foster to help Rhea decompress from her trauma and learn to trust again. She is still slightly fearful in her boarding environment but she warms up quickly once out of her kennel. Rhea’s previous owner reports she lived with other dogs and cats, and is friendly to everyone. If you can help with this sweet girl please apply to foster/adopt!
