Adoption donations vary (depending upon the age of the dog) and they range from $200-$500. You can read more on our FAQ page. These donations assist in covering the cost to vaccinate, spay/neuter, microchip and heart worm testing our dogs. In some instances, Cane Corso Rescue, Inc spends thousands of dollars on an individual dog.
VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Please fill out this application only if you are 100% SERIOUS about adopting a Cane Corso. It will take you quite awhile to fill this form out. Please be aware, you will need your Veterinarian’s name & phone number as well as 3 references, their emails (required) and optional their phone numbers. At least 2 of these references must be non-relatives. When you add email addresses to your personal references, please let them know ahead of time that they will be receive an email from canecorsorescue.org.
If you do not fill out the application to completion with correct phone numbers & emails, you will be DENIED IMMEDIATELY. With over 10 applications coming in each day, our volunteers do not have time to search for & correct the information and will favor another application over an incomplete one.
For your Personal References, please do not put any information into the email fields other than the emails themselves (only put one email address in each field & do not put “n/a” etc.). Your Personal references must have an email address. Please also check to make sure that the emails you add are valid. It’s a good idea to email your personal references ahead of time letting them know to expect an email from us and to make sure that they are valid emails. They will receive the email within 15 minutes of you submitting the application as this is done AUTOMATICALLY by our system. If the emails are not correct, the personal references will not receive their email and will considerably slow down your application.
Unfortunately, at this time we do not adopt dogs outside of the continental United States. If you fill out an application for adoption and live outside the continental United States, it will be immediately denied.
Our volunteers donate a lot of time for the screening (about 10-12 hours per application), so please do not fill out this application unless you are completely sure about being an adoption candidate. It is in everyone’s best interest to be completely honest when filling out this form, as we use the information you provide to best match our Cane Corso rescues with their new fur-ever homes.
Becoming a Foster Volunteer is quite exciting. You can care for these gentle giants until their fur-ever home is found. If you have large breed experience, we are looking for you and are always in need of foster care volunteers. Since Cane Corso Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, your unreimbursed mileage (14 cents per mile for 2017), tolls, fuel and parking expenses while traveling for CCR are tax deductible. Please read the IRS’s Publication 526 for more details on Charitable deductions. Pre-approved supplies, dog food, dog-vetting & medications may be paid for by CCR.
As a Foster Volunteer, you could potentially:
- Provide a temporary foster home to a Cane Corso rescue
- Assist the Cane Corso rescue in getting any necessary medical attention (spay/neuter, heart worm, etc.)
- Interview and visit potential adopters and their homes.
- Transport rescues to their new “forever” home.
Adding any additional or other information into the Personal Reference Email field can cause issues in our system and drastically increase the time it takes to get back to you.
You will receive an email confirmation of form submission within a few hours to confirm we have received the application and to whom the emails were sent to. If you do not receive this email it is possible you may have entered your email incorrectly.
