Picante – Male in Texas
Cane Corso | Crate Trained
Picante, a male Cane Corso in Texas, is approximately 4 to 5 years old (born around June 2020). During the Texas Winter Storm of 2021, six dogs were abandoned at an auto repair shop in Houston. Tragically, one dog was found frozen to death. The remaining five dogs, including Picante, Ellie, Mama Dog, Jimmy, and Brutus, were rescued and taken under the care of Cane Corso Rescue, Inc.

Picante, the spirited Cane Corso, is on a quest to master the art of good behavior and friendship. While he’s a chill buddy with big dogs, the world of small pups and cats remains a mystery to him. This chap would flourish in a lively household with kids aged 10 and up, and he’s no stranger to cozying up in his crate.
Cane Corso Rescue is in urgent need of foster homes to assess these dogs, ensuring they receive proper vetting and align with their current bios.
Cane Corso Rescue has a specific set of criteria they use when reviewing applications to ensure each dog is placed in the safest and most suitable home possible. Please note that we typically do not place dogs in homes with another dog of the same sex. This is due to a behavioral tendency known as same-sex aggression, which is common in the Cane Corso breed.
