Cane Corso | Crate Trained | Kid Safe 15+ | Knows Commands | Leash Trained | No Small Dogs | No Young Children | No Cats
CCR was asked to take Gus when this gorgeous Boerboel (South African mastiff) was originally found by another rescue. This young man was roaming industrial park in Philly, right before Christmas 2018, without a microchip or any identifying tags. This Greyhound Rescue put him in their facility and kept him safe and happy until CCR scooped him up! They believed him to be a Cane Corso. This muscular boy is not only playful but he’s very loyal and loving. Gus is believed to be about 3yrs old. He is healthy, happy, and ready to go to his permanent home. Gus does take time to trust his humans, but once he trusts, he is all your’s! It would be ideal if Gus’ potential adopter could meet him if they are in the PA-NJ area. So, get your application in for Gus so that you can be approved and a meet n greet can be planned.
He knows basic commands and obviously was a house pet prior to being lost. Without any leads for his previous family, CCR has committed to finding him a new forever home with children older than 12yrs. He has been around small dogs but we don’t have any proof that he ever lived with small dogs. Gus would be great in an adult home (or with older children) and a large breed female dog. He has not been cat tested, but this may be able to be done with an approved application.
