Ducky (The Duckster) – Male in Texas
Ducky is a Cane Corso puppy (about 8 months old) born in August of 2020. Ducky was an owner surrender to a shelter in Ohio. The owner bought him solely for breeding. It seems that he took good care of him… he was up to date on shots etc. However, it seems he wasn’t feeding him appropriately. Ducky has low pasterns and splayed feet… which is why his foster mom calls him Ducky. Ultimately, The Duckster has some orthopedic issues and he will need some help fixing his waddle.
So far Ducky has had two appointments with Dr. Beckett. The initial consultation and sedated x-rays (see photos below). We are already over $400 and he needs two very expensive surgeries. The draft invoice reflects a rescue discount, for which we are extremely grateful.
He will need two surgeries for his Osteochondritis Dissecans (OCD) & Ununited Anconeal Process (UAP). One for his right elbow and one for his left elbow and left shoulder. These are very painful for Ducky and we estimate that the cost for both surgeries will be in the $5,000 – $6,000 range. This invoice below is just for the initial consultation and the x-rays.
Ducky is an absolutely incredible boy. Fearless yet calm and so loving. He is great with adults & children. He seems to do best with other female dogs. He makes friends everywhere he goes and is a wonderful ambassador for both the breed and for rescue dogs.

I watch Ducky all the time and pray for him daily. I have two Cane boys that I have rescued and love them with all my heart. Ducky is so amazing and I just love him.

Marcy thought she hit the lottery when she found me but it was me that hit the lottery finding her. If love could’ve saved Marcy, she would live forever. I have never known sadness like I know now. But I also never loved and been loved as much as I have now. Taking things one second at a time right now bc one day is too much for me to go on without her. Her life prior to being here with me was terrible. I just want to be with Marcy. I would love anyone who loves Corsos to watch this video I made in her honor which illustrates how BIG she loved.
