Luna- Female in Texas
Cane Corso | House-Trained | No Small Children
This 2.5–3-year-old Cane Corso girl has spent too much of her life being misunderstood. At 114 lbs., she’s a lot of dog — but once she trusts you, she in it for the belly rubs. She’s looking for a home with someone who knows what it’s like to earn a Corso’s loyalty. She’s slow to warm up, but when she does, she will lean into you like she’s trying to become part of you.
She needs someone patient. Someone who understands that big dogs with big feelings take time. No young kids — not because she’s mean, but because the world has taught her to be cautious. If you’ve got the heart, the experience, and a little extra room in your home, please reach out. She’s ready to give someone her whole heart. She just needs a place to land.
Is she good with other dogs? As a rescue, we often have limited information about a dog’s history, and that is the case with Luna. What we do know is that she came from a challenging situation. Please note that we typically do not place dogs in homes with another dog of the same sex, as it can lead to compatibility issues.
Cane Corso Rescue is in urgent need of foster homes to assess these dogs, ensuring they receive proper vetting and align with their current bios.
Cane Corso Rescue has a specific set of criteria they use when reviewing applications to ensure each dog is placed in the safest and most suitable home possible.
