Update 7.19.15: Fabulous news…Thelma has found a wonderful foster home in PA. She will be arriving in PA late Monday afternoon (7.20.15). Her foster family will be posting updates once she settles in.
Thelma’s Story: Thelma and Louise (her sister) were terrified when found as they did not have the best experience on the 4th of July, while others were celebrating; these two were being loaded up into the back of a truck, driven to the back woods of GA, and DUMPED. I just can’t imagine the terror they must have felt as they saw the human they loved and trusted drive away without them…then to experience the bombs bursting in the air…alone in the woods. What a POS, we only hope karma gets him/her. And do they have any ill will toward humans…absolutely not… as our volunteer who evaluated them said they are as sweet as can be. The shelter and vet believe they are sisters, who are 8 months of age. Welcome to the family Thelma!
CCR is in the process of welcoming Thelma and Louise to the family. We will post additional information as soon as it becomes available. Unfortunately, neither are safe as both are still residing in the shelter. We need a foster for each. The CCR volunteer who did the evaluation said they are sweet as can be. Poor babies came in to the shelter on July 4, 2015 as strays…no one came looking for them so we are welcoming them into the family. The shelter believes they are sisters, who are approximately 6 to 9months of age.
Thelma has been completely vetted, spayed, micro-chipped, and is current on heart worm and flea/tick prevention. If you are interested in fostering or adopting Thelma, please complete an application we will process as quickly as possible.
