Update 1.10.16: Fabulous news! Our boy Royce is in the arms of the rescue angels and over the course of the past two days, wonderful transport angels have convoyed him from GA to TX to ensure he received the best foster home possible. With each new friend and each mile driven Royce’s faith in the human race was restored! What a beautiful life we were able to save all because a few special people gave of their time and/or miles! Please enjoy the many photos of Royce’s journey to a better life!
Royce’s slumber party:
Original Post: CCR is in the process of welcoming Royce into the family. You know you want this 120lb hunk burning love! This lovely boy will be celebrating his second birthday on January 19, 2016; wouldn’t it be awesome if he could celebrate it with a family who is committed to him FURever!
Royce was surrendered to a shelter because his owner was relocating so once again the owner (refuse to call him family) gets a new life and this beautiful boy gets dumped in a shelter!!! GRRRRRR!!! Thank goodness a shelter employee saw what a great boy he was and reached out to CCR for help. We don’t want this boy falling into the wrong hands as he is much too precious for that. No worries my love you are family now and CCR NEVER turns their back on family.
Information provided by shelter: Royce does well with other dogs but does not do well with felines. Because of his size and unknown history with children, CCR would perfer placement in a home without children or with children over the age of 8 years. Royce is a very intellegent boy who loves to learn and already knows many of his basic commands: sit, come, down, stay, and heal. He is housebroken but has not been crate trained. Typical to the breed he is wary of strangers but warms up with proper introductions. Royce’s favorite past-time is to cuddle with his humans!
Royce has been completely vetted, neutered, micro-chipped, and is current on heartworm and flea/tic prevention. If you are interested in adopting Royce, please complete an application and we will process as quickly as possible.
