Update 1-19-2017: Roxy is making great progress in her foster home. We have learned so much more about her and will share it all here. When Roxy arrived in her foster home, she was terrified of her foster Dad. She would avoid him and eventually would run to her foster Mom for “safety” and then growl at her foster Dad. But, that has all gone away! Sadly, we learned that Roxy’s original owner (before the person who surrendered her to us) was NOT nice to her at all :-(. Thus, her reaction to men. Roxy is doing better and better with men and her foster parents continue to work on it with her (by making the men that meet her, the most wonderful people ever!) However, when she goes to her new family, they will need to continue this work. But, at her young age, she WILL get better and better until men don’t phase her at all. Roxy loves her foster dog siblings (2 Cane Corsos and a boston terrier). Roxy is house trained and doing well with commands.
Roxy is a 1.5 year old Cane Corso that was owned surrendered to us. She lived in a house with kids, so a household with kids 12+ is recommended. Roxy is dog friendly, but has not been tested with small dogs yet. Her previous owner says she trained her,”she now knows sit , down , come here ( semi-listens) , stand ( on her hind legs if you have a treat) , right paw , left paw , high five , and leave it. ”
Roxy will be up to date on vaccinations & microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Roxy, please fill out an adoption application.
