Update 12.14.14: Awesome news Panda Poo has made it safely to her foster home because of a few very special people. A huge shout out to Marty, Opal, and Emily who moved heaven and earth to get her transport filled. Our dear friend Opal drove about 16 hours yesterday! Talk about a road warrior! More information will be forthcoming once her foster mommy has sometime with her.
Update 12.6.14: Great news Panda Poo has found a foster family in IN but we will need your help getting her from Texas to Indiana. Kudos to our wonderful Emily C. for opening her heart and home to yet another Cane Corso Rescue in need. We are working on a hand to hand transport but in the meantime if anyone is headed in the Lafayette, IN direction from the Fort Worth, Texas area CCR would certainly appreciate your support.
Original Post: CCR is hoping to welcome Panda Poo into the family, but to do so we need a foster home. Panda Poo is an owner surrender. She is 18 months old and about 135 lbs. Panda Poo is said to be “in great health, micro chipped, spayed and current on all vaccinations”. Reason for surrender is “Panda is a great animal but her anxiety levels are causing great problems within our pack of 4 miniature dachshunds, 1 Rat Terrier, 1 Chihuahua, 1 sheltie, 1 Chihuahua/weenie mix and Kate our 16month old Cane Corso”. CCR is pretty confident that this is not a good placement for Panda Poo and the environment is the contributing factor in her anxiety (I too may be anxious in this household). Panda Poo is loved as her owner called crying hysterically at the thought of giving her up but NOW understands holding a ‘multi-pet permit’ and owning one female Cane Corso doesn’t indicate breed experience or understanding.
