Update 12/5/15 –Update from Holly’s foster family: “I’ve been asked to write this Bio by the amazing Cane Corso Rescue team multiple times and I always fail to take the time to sit down and write it out..Well here it finally is, I never took the time to write a bio because her personality says it all, Holly came from such a terrible place. Living in her OWN feces, puppies taken away from her and housed with 5 other Corso dogs in a 5 FT SHED. When holly first came to me it took me about 2 hours to get her out of the back of the SUV, eventually I had to lift the whole crate up (yes with her in it) and put it on the ground. I finally got her to come out of the crate and from then on Holly has been in HEAVEN. She’s currently sleeping on my bed ZONKED out. Holly continues to learn basic commands, she currently knows COME and STAY. Her TEMPERAMENT is CALM, she loves to play but is usually pretty relaxed, she does well with kids of all ages, other dogs, cats; males and females. She loves her red kong toy and LOVES to play catch! Holly loves to CUDDLE all day long and will never leave your side. I hope someone with a heart as beautiful as hers adopts her and ensures she is given LOTS OF LOVE as this is one AMAZING GIRL! ”
CCR has recently welcomed Momma Holly into the family. This poor girl has been used and neglected by her previous owner who after producing a little of pups dumped her in a kill shelter. CCR is focusing on getting her body healthy as she has been bred back to back heat cycles and she needs a lot of TLC. Sadly this mama is one of five adults dumped by their owner in a Pennsylvania kill shelter. This is the same owner that CCR begged to take the adults about a month and a half ago. The previous owner released three puppies to CCR at that time but said he would not surrender the adults or the other 2 pups. At that time, CCR was told he had 3 adults. Later he dumped the adults and 1 pup, two adults were killed prior to CCR’s notification.
Fortunately for Momma Holly, a local volunteer was able to rescue her in time. Holly is now in foster care recouperating from her horrid life and lack of care. CCR will be updating her status soon. Her foster Mom says she is an absolute love and is enjoying the many wonderful gifts sent by the community. Momma Holly particular enjoys the warmth of her new sweater and can be seen sporting it around the neighborhood. You are safe now Momma Holly as the CCR community has wrapped their arms around you.
Momma Holly will be completely vetted, spayed, micro-chipped, and tested for heartworms. If you are interested in adopting Holly, please complete an application and we will process as quickly as possible.
