Update 3.26.16: Did you hear the news, I got me a foster family and yesterday my friend Charlene and I made the journey to meet them. I am so excited to finally be FREE! Stay tuned as there will be updates forthcoming once my foster family has some time to get to know me. To know me is to love me! Kramer is rocking this rescue for all it is worth!
Cane Corso Rescue, Inc. is in the process of welcoming Kramer into the family but we urgently need a foster as he is still residing in a shelter. Kramer is not only adorable but he is one smart cookie knowing many basic commands. Kramer came into the shelter as a stray so we have no known history on him. For this reason, Kramer will need a foster family that can follow basic CCR foster protocol of separation from other animals in the home with a slow structured integration. Kramer has no known history with cats or children so our preference would be no felines or children under the age of 8 as we want to set Kramer up for the best foster experience possible. It does appear that Kramer has lived in a home as he is very respectful of his kennel suggesting he maybe housebroken.
Kramer does have bilateral cherry eye which will be repaired by a vet once he is safely in his foster home. CCR covers all pre-approved medical care for fosters; and in this case, will include the cherry eye repair. Kramer is estimated to be about 1.5 years of age. He quickly won the hearts of staff at the shelter and a rally for his rescue ensured. How could we say no to such a sweet boy and soul!!! CCR is beyond capacity but we just had to help Kramer; unfortunately, he is not truly safe until we have a foster for him. So, who wants to welcome Kramer into their hearts and home??
Kramer has been completely vetted, neutered, micro-chipped, and is current on heartworm and flea/tic prevention. If you are interested in fostering or adopting Sir Walter, please complete an application and we will process as quickly as possible.
