UPDATE:4/4/17 Thanks to the dedication of some FABULOUS volunteers we were able to spring sweet hank from the shelter in the nick of time!! Hank is on his way to his temporary foster but is still in need of a foster where he can decompress from all the stress this poor boy has been under. Hank will need a very experienced home as he is very unsure and timid of new things and new environments.

4/3/17: Say hello to handsome Hank! This 3 yr old boy joins us from a Philadelphia shelter who saved him from living in a tiny kennel on a farm (presumably for breeding). He is learning to come out of his shell and how to be a dog! He’s a gentle boy who is looking for an experienced home make him feel comfortable with all these changes in his life. He tested well at the shelter with other large dogs, and just wags his nub at all the dogs barking at him as he walks down the kennel rows. He would feel most comfortable with with a large breed female companion. He’s already started to learn a few tricks from shelter staff, he’s a quick learner who just needs a little guidance. Since Hank has no known history with cats, small dogs, or children he will not be placed in a home with them.

I live in Southern New Jersey and I adopted a 120 lb 3yo female cane corso last year from a rescue in NYC. I have large breed experience and I am wiling to foster/adopt. I will fill out an application for Hank.
