Foster Update 7.25.15: Ripley is loving life down here at Fort Polk, Louisiana. She gets lots of opportunities to run around outside, especially at the lake or creek, where she enjoys getting her feet wet and cooling off. Once the summer heat takes its toll, she can be found lounging on the cool floor in the living room with the AC cranked up. Once she wakes from her nap, she’ll wander over to her collection of tennis balls, pick out her favorite one, and is ready to go for a game of fetch. Her collection reminds me of the baseballs the Beast kept under his dog house in the Sandlot. Ripley is the most loyal dog I have ever met. She is by your side every chance she gets and gives you her unconditional love. She is looking for her forever home, and as much as it breaks my heart to let her go, I know it is what’s best for her. I just want her to be happy.
Ripley’s foster dad will be transitioning from the armed service into life as a civilian after many years so it is going to be a very hectic time for him and his family. CCR would like to express our sincere gratitude to Russell for his service to our country and to his family for their support! In addition, he found room in his heart and home to give Ripley an awesome foster experience preparing her for miracle. I know Ripley is filled with gratitude as she couldn’t of found a better foster family! And still with all this transition in his life, his primary concern is that Ripley find her forever family prior to his departure October 1, 2015 so she NEVER has to be up-rooted again. Let’s give this foster dad his wish….a FOREVER home for Ripley. Ripley would be happiest in a quiet, home where she can be the one and only canine queen bee of the castle.
Update 4.27.15: Great news! Faith is with her foster family and doing well. Transport angels lined up from Ohio to Louisianan to drive her hundreds of miles ensuring she did not spend one more day in a kennel. And they ROCKED her world (in a good way)!! Faith’s foster family will keep us posted on her progress but in the meantime you may want to get your applications in as this beautiful girl won’t be available long.
Update 2.25.15: Faith was recently welcomed into the Cane Corso Rescue family. This poor girl found herself on the streets of an Ohio city after the owner gave her the boot…that is right literally opened the door and kicked her out of house. Poor Faith was wandering the streets looking for her family; she was extremely frightened, hungry, and shivering. Thankfully an incrediable Dog Warder took her in until Cane Corso Rescue could raise the funds needed to pay for her entropian surgery, vetting, and to board her and cover the medical Amazingly within 7 hours Faith’s supporters had rallied to her rescue exceeding the $1000 goal. Faith has been transported to the boarding facility associated with the vet practice that will be conducting the surgery. Cane Corso Rescue thanks everyone for pulling together for this girl! More updates to follow. Faith is in neeed of a foster home that wil provide her with the after surgery care she needs as well as the love and suport required to prepare her for adoption.
Orginal Plea: CCR must take her Thursday (we bought her 2 more days due to an incredible Dog Warden who loves her) and we have no place to send her. Please help us raise money to board her and buy us some time to find her the perfect fit foster home. PS- see the inflammation in her eyes? She has entropian too, so we have increased our goal to take care of that surgery. Thank you… love, Faith
