Update 3.15.15: Our poor Cleo got some devastating news as the family who had promised to love and cherish her for eternity changed their minds and decided not to adopt her so she is once again searching for her forever family. Cleo is one of the sweetest, most gentlest Corsos in our care. There is not a human that meets her that does not fall head over heals in love with her…and she has met many during her travels from NJ to IA to IL! Cleo would be most happiest in a home without other animals as she truly enjoys being the queen of her castle and the only apple of her humans eye. Cleo’s fabulous foster family is working on crate training her as that is the one area that still needs work. Cleo enjoys going for long walks with her humans as well as romping in the fenced in yard. She responds well to correction and loves all humans, large and small…heck this girl even loves the vet! She has come a long way since her days as a stray on the streets of NYC followed by narrowly escaping death in the shelter. Cleo is spayed, micro-chipped, and current on her vaccinations and preventative care for heartworms, flea, and ticks! Although the shelter aged her at 6 years our vet said “no way” and estimated her to be about about 4 years of age. This girl has a lot of loving left to give. You want to be the lucky recipient?
Update 2.4.15; More great news! Mesha has an adoption pending and we are working on her transport home. If anyone is headed in the direction of Iowa from the New Jersey area, we would love your assistance getting her home. A fabulous family waits her!
Mesha is being welcomed into the Cane Corso Rescue family today. Soon she will be taking her freedom ride with one of dearest volunteers. Additional information will be posted as soon as her foster family has time to get to know her.
