Boom has been adopted!

CCR has recently welcomed Boom into the family. This poor baby found himself on deathrow in a NYC shelter when his family dumped him and 3 others at a shelter. All 4 were rescued and CCR was lucky enough to get our fabulous Boom! Boom is a 2 year old male, Cane Corso. His surrender reported that he lived with other dogs (obviously has they surrendered 4 CCs) and a child as young as 2 years.

Boom has been in foster care with CCR for several weeks. His foster family just raves about his quiet, laid back demeanor. “Any Corso lover would be lucky to have Boom. Under his barely-there ears and bite scars (all over his head and front arms) is a calm, friendly, playful, obedient and overall really good dog. In our opinion, he would do best with a strong, male handler. He shadows his foster dad everywhere, but is not nearly as interested in me (foster mom). I was surprised at how calm he was and how quickly he adjusted to us and our home – it was immediate.

He follows commands easily. He did pull on the leash at first, but foster dad had him walking at his side within a few minutes. He listens whenever he is told “no.” He learns quickly, too.

Boom is currently residing with a female Corso in his foster home and is doing exceptionally well. He is playful and has a little leap when excited. He really likes balls and can make it up a flight of stairs in three leaps.”

So who wants to welcome this hunk of burning love into their family as he is ready and waiting for his forever family to find him!!!!

Boom has been completely vetted, neutered, micro-chipped, and is current on heartworm and flea/tic prevention. If you are interested in adopting Boom, please complete an application and we will process as quickly as possible.
