The dogs below are some of our most desperate cases. They have not only received poor health care, but a life without love. These dogs are in need of both financial and emotional support. You can help better their lives by donating through the PayPal link provided; all financial donations will go to their veterinary care with any remaining funds going to other Corsos in need. Once these dogs have been given the all clear from their vet, they will need foster and forever homes. You may apply to foster or adopt through our online applications on this site. Your support is greatly appreciated!

CONAN

I am a young boy, only about 14 months old. I was dumped in a shelter with a severe case of mange. My paws are swollen three time normal size, my face is scabbed and bleeding, as are my genitals. While most would consider being dumped in a shelter a sad thing, this has been my only chance at a healthy life. I am already receiving treatment, but have a long way to go until I am the beautiful boy I should have been. Even in my highly uncomfortable state - I can barely go a minute without scratching! - I am a sweet, friendly boy. Your help will ensure I get my beautiful coat back and can leave a life of itching and bleeding behind.

BRITTANY

At 6-years-old, I was sold to a person who had no interest in owning a dog. I was solely sold and purchased as "a business, a quick way to make some money." The man who purchased me had no intention of loving me or even housing me. I was living outside unsupervised where, while pregnant I ingested a foreign object and had to undergo surgery. This surgery resulted in my having 2 feet of intestines removed. I then spent the next few weeks being boarded at the vet. That is where I had my litter of pups. My pups and I then spent another month living at the vet's office, abandoned. My owner was forced to come and get us, but had no interest in any of our well being only how much he could sell us for. He threatened to turn me out on the street or sell me for a religious sacrifice! Luckily, he was convinced to surrender me to rescue. I still have worms, need surgery on both of my eyes and am severely underweight. Once I have put on some more weight, I will be able to have the surgeries on my eyes and be spayed, ensuring I will never have to live a life as nothing more than a breeder.

CCAA Rescue is also paying to treat Moose and China in Texas for Heartworm. We currently have two Corsos receiving vet care in New York & a Corso burn victim in Pennsylvania that needs medical treatment! More pictures coming soon!
