The CCAA (Cane Corso Association of America) Cane Corso Rescue Committee was formed in 2005 solely for the welfare and protection of the Cane Corso (Italian Mastiff) breed and relies on the hard work and dedication of its member volunteers. We work hard to make a difference in the lives of abandoned, abused or displaced Cane Corsos. Our mission is to place each dog or puppy into the best forever homes possible, as well as help educate members and non-members alike about the ownership of this fine breed.

The CCAA (Cane Corso Association of America) Cane Corso Rescue Committee pledges to always consider the well-being of the Cane Corso (Italian Mastiff) and people involved in transportation, adoption, fostering, re-homing and ownership of any Cane Corso dog or puppy. We welcome all comments, suggestions, offers to help or information requests. Cane Corso Rescue thanks you all for your support!

Please take the time to read the following Cane Corso Rescue guidelines:

1. If you have general questions about the breed, please visit our Links page to assist you in your online research.

2. If you filled out an adoption application, please be patient and we will contact you if we need additional information or if we feel there is a potential adoption match. Sometimes there are geographical limitations, as most shelters only adopt out within a certain radius. Sometimes we are able to arrange transportation through a network of volunteers. We appreciate your patience as sometimes it might take months for a match to take place. We do not guarantee any adoption matches, so please do not assume that we will have a dog or puppy for every applicant, but we will contact you if we have something.

3. If you filled out a surrender application, please do not e-mail us until you have sent all the items we require for surrender (photos of the dog or puppy, certificate of sterilization, proof of ownership, pedigree, breeder's name and contact information-if applicable).

4. If you filled out a volunteer application, we will contact you when the need arises (e.g. if a home check is needed in your area, transport assistance, etc.) If any of your information changes, please re-submit a new volunteer application instead of just sending us your new e-mail address, phone number, address, etc.

Then he drove away as I stood in the snow

I ran around for a day or two

Then someone picked me up

I thought I was through...

He took me to a place and put me in a cage

I felt like I was on a stage

People looking, walking by

All I could do was stand there and cry!

Why did those people do me like that...

Throw me away like an old hat?

They rotate the dogs here every seven days

And after that...well, you'd be amazed

Then in came a woman all dressed in white

She bent down and said, "It'll be alright."

You're coming home to live with me

In a beautiful house with a big oak tree.
